Cheaper 2-day air shipping for businesses

UPS 2nd Day Air and FedEx 2Day, priced without a contract or a minimum.

Cheap 2-day air is a service, not a slogan

Cheap 2-day air shipping means UPS 2nd Day Air or FedEx 2Day at a lower account price, with the second-day commitment left intact. It does not mean Ground that usually arrives in two days. Those are different products, and mixing them is how rate comparisons lie.

The Shipping Savers prices both 2-day services. No contract, no monthly fee, no minimums. One cent per label, included.

When 2-day beats overnight

Overnight is the right buy when the product or the customer cannot wait: perishables with a short coolant window, a down machine, a missed promise. 2-day is the right buy when the promise is 'this week, not tomorrow' and Ground will miss it. The invoice should show that split. If half your 2-day labels were actually overnight mis-clicks, the saving is a service rule, not a new account.

Use overnight rates for the next-day bucket and this page for the second-day bucket. The air hub links both.

How to compare 2-day options

OptionWhat it is
UPS 2nd Day AirUPS air service committed for the second business day
FedEx 2DayFedEx air service committed for the second business day
UPS Ground or FedEx GroundA ground promise. Sometimes two days, not a 2-day product
Overnight airNext business day. A different price and a different promise

2-day rows worth keeping, and rows to throw out

Throw out Ground shipments that arrived in two days. They are not 2-day air. They are Ground that got lucky or that traveled a short zone. Leaving them in makes 2-day look cheaper than it is, or more expensive, depending on the zone.

Keep UPS 2nd Day Air and FedEx 2Day in separate columns, then compare only where the ZIP pair and the box match.

Watch for overnight labels bought because 2-day was clicked wrong, and 2-day labels bought because overnight was too expensive and the customer was not told. Both show up as 'air' in a sloppy export.

If perishables are in the 2-day file, they need a note that the product survived. Price without that note is not a recommendation.

How it works

  1. Send a recent UPS or FedEx invoice, or a shipment export with ZIP codes, service, weight, dimensions and charges.
  2. We compare the same packages and the same service. The price you see is the label price.
  3. If the numbers work, you ship with UPS or FedEx on our account. Our fee is one cent per label, already included. There is no monthly fee and no contract.

What you pay us

The Shipping Savers fee is $0.01 per purchased label. It is already inside the price on the label. We do not add a monthly membership. Carrier charges, residential fees, fuel, delivery-area fees and other accessorials are part of that label price, not a second bill from us. Read the pricing page for the full explanation.

The only published before-and-after figure on this site is one real shipment: a 10 lb UPS Next Day Air package, 10 × 10 × 10 inches, New York to Los Angeles. It was $35.75 before and $16.78 with The Shipping Savers. That is not a rate for your lane. Your price comes from your own file.

Shopify and ShipStation

You can keep the software you already use to take orders. Shopify stays the store. ShipStation can stay the place where the team buys labels. On ShipStation, our Chrome add-on shows the rate next to the order, including when the order uses third-party billing. See discounted rates inside ShipStation and Shopify shipping rates.

Questions

Is 2-day the same as overnight?

No. UPS 2nd Day Air and FedEx 2Day are committed for the second business day, not the next morning. Do not compare a 2-day price with a next-day price and call it a saving.

Where does USPS fit?

USPS Priority Mail is a different network and a different promise. If you use it, keep it in its own column. We price UPS and FedEx.

Is there a contract, monthly fee, or minimum volume?

No contract, no monthly fee, and no minimums. The only fee from The Shipping Savers is one cent per label, and it is already included in the price you see.

Do the packages still ship with UPS and FedEx?

Yes. The same UPS and FedEx services, drivers, and tracking. What changes is the account the label is priced on.

How do I get a real price?

Send a recent invoice or a shipment export. We price your packages. We do not publish a table of sample lanes, because a lane that is not yours is not your price.
